Met Eireann has issued a Rainfall Warning for Counties Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Galway and Leitrim until 6am (23rd Dec).


LONGFORD: The Longford/ Ballinalee Rd (R194) will be closed overnight between Doherty's Cross and Ballinalee following a crash. Diversions are in place.


GALWAY: Traffic is moving well in Galway City Centre. 

LIMERICK: There are no delays to report in Limerick City Centre.

CORK: No major delays in Cork City centre 

WATERFORD: Traffic is moving well in Waterford City. 

Keep in mind that the Waterford Winterval Christmas Festival takes place until tomorrow (23rd) (See events for more details). This may bring extra traffic to the area.


WATERFORD: Waterford Winterval Christmas Festival takes place until Tuesday 23rd Dec. Most events are taking place along the Quay and The Mall and will attract extra traffic to the area. Expect delays.


CLARE: Temporary pedestrianisation of O'Connell Square and O'Connell St in Ennis will be in place this week. O'Connell Square and O'Connell St will be closed from O'Connell Square to Station Rd Jct from 12pm to 6pm on Tues (23rd) and Wed (24th) . Traffic from High St and Abbey St will be diverted onto Bank Place.

WESTMEATH:The hard shoulder and left lane of the M6 Galway/ Dublin Rd eastbound are closed between J8 Athlone East and J7 Moate East until 19th June 2015 for works. Take extra care in the area.

WICKLOW: Ferndale Rd will be closed at the jct with Old Connaught Ave and Thornhill Rd until Fri 27th March 2015 for works. A diversion route will be signposted.

WICKLOW: Diversions are in place on the N11 Wexford/ Dublin Rd at Jack Whites due to ongoing works until March 2015. Motorists are being diverted along a new alignment through to the new R/A before rejoining the existing N11. These works have caused delays particularly during rush hours so bear that in mind.
