Co. Monaghan brought home its first AA Courtesy & Care Award on Wednesday night after The Lodge at Castle Leslie was presented with the top honour by Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring TD, at the AA Hospitality Awards. The Courtesy & Care award is a testament to excellence in customer care executed by hospitality staff and is not granted lightly.
A member of The AA’s Secret Hotel Inspectorate commented: “This award is an acknowledgement to the staff at The Lodge at Castle Leslie who are inherently warm and welcoming; virtues that can make or break a stay. The members of staff at The Lodge are a credit to General Manager, Brian Baldwin.”
On awarding the top honour, The AA’s Director of Consumer Affairs Conor Faughnan, said: “Attentive and good-natured service delivery are some of the main criteria for the AA Courtesy & Care award. The team at The Lodge at Castle Leslie fits the bill in this regard and are great ambassadors for the industry as a whole, which is why we are delighted to be presenting them with this award.”
