Seascapes Restaurant at Arnold's Hotel

aaicon Restaurant %

In a village overlooking Sheephaven Bay, with Killahoey Beach a stroll away, Arnold's Hotel has been welcoming guests since 1922. It's a friendly, comfortable and comforting place, with open fires in the winter, and a restaurant capitalising on those coastal views. The kitchen takes a fuss-free approach, relying on quality raw materials and sound technique to make the most of flavours. To start there may be steamed mussels in garlic and dill cream, or balls of mushroom risotto coated in oatmeal, fried and dressed with white truffle and parmesan. Fish is well handled, seen in baked fillet of turbot served simply on pea purée with red pesto, or there might be honey-glazed roast duckling on rösti with a rich orange sauce, or fillet steak with grilled mushrooms, mustard mash and a bourbon and pepper cream. Desserts are of the home-baked, comfort food variety, such as Arnold's Hotel Pavlova, apple pie and rhubarb crumble.
