If you’re planning to be out and about over the June Bank Holiday weekend, you can expect changes to public transport schedules. We’ve compiled the major alterations for Dublin Bus, Luas, Irish Rail (including DART) and Bus Éireann.
As always on a bank holiday, services are expected to be busy – so it’s best to book in advance if possible and leave plenty of extra time for your journey.
Normal Saturday service, including Nitelink. Routes through Leixlip (66 and 66b) will be diverted from 1pm due to the Leixlip Summer Festival. See here for full information.
Normal Sunday service, but some routes will be diverted for the Leixlip Summer Festival (66 and 66b). See here for full information. There will be no Nitelink service.
Sunday service, but some routes will be diverted for the Women’s Mini Marathon (Routes 4, 7, 11, 18, 25/a/b, 26, 37, 38/a, 39/a, 44, 46a, 47, 61, 66/a, 67, 70 and 145). Routes through Leixlip (66 and 66b) will be diverted from 1pm due to the Leixlip Summer Festival. See here for full information.
All Bus Éireann services will run to a normal Saturday timetable.
A normal Sunday service will operate, except for the following cancellations:
A number of Cork City services will be diverted between 8am and 7pm due to the Cork City Marathon (Routes 202, 203, 206, 207, 208, 215, 216 and 266, along with Ballincollig and Macroom services). See here for full details.
Bus Éireann services will run to a Sunday service, with the following alterations:
Cork City services will also run to a Sunday timetable with extra early morning services on some routes.

Sunday service will operate, with the first trams at 7am and the last trams at 10:50pm (inbound from Saggart to Belgard), 11pm (inbound from Tallaght to The Point and Brides Glen to St Stephen’s Green; outbound from The Point to Saggart) and 11:30pm (outbound from The Point to Tallaght and St Stephen’s Green to Brides Glen).
