AA Ireland Seeking 40 new staff

AA Ireland, the motoring organisation and insurance provider, is recruiting 40 new staff in its Dublin headquarters.

“It is great to be able to make a positive announcement about Irish business and Irish jobs.” Says Director of Policy Conor Faughnan. “We are looking for people across the business. In the main it is staff for our Motor Insurance, Home and Travel Insurance sections and for AA Rescue, although we are also recruiting in web development and other areas.”

The motoring organization is Ireland’s largest personal lines insurance intermediary with over 600,000 customer relationships across its Motor, Home, Travel and Rescue products. In recent years the AA has seen strong growth in demand for its Rescue Service as people hold on to cars for longer and become more aware of the need for roadside and rescue cover. New products like Car Servicing, Car Repair and Battery Replacement have also been introduced.

“AA Insurance has been performing very strongly and we need extra staff in our call centre to deal with growing demand.” Says Faughnan.

“We are predicting a good year in 2011 and we are investing in extra resources. New staff will be joining an organization with a 100 year history that places huge emphasis on people and on customer service.”

Road tax should be abolished and placed instead on fuel in order to be fairly distributed based on each persons road usage.
