Busy day for Patrols yesterday – check out roadwatch advice on flooded areas

date-icon 25 Sep 2012  author-icon Posted by Miriam O'Neill

It was a particularly busy day for our Patrols yesterday and on into this morning as a result of the wet weather.  We were called to several AA Members in the Dublin area who were involved in road traffic collisions mainly due to skidding on the excess surface water.  There was also a lot of incidents of flat batteries.

There’s still alot of surface water around this morning according to our Roadwatch team,  particularly in the east of the country, so be extra careful and make sure to slow down and keep a safe distance from the car in front.   For more specific details on the  worst affected routes or general traffic and travel advice surrounding the National Ploughing Championships click here.
