Hunter’s Yard joins AA scheme following major investment

Kilkenny property Hunter’s Yard joins the AA Accreditation scheme as a 4 Star property following major investment by Tetrarch Hospitality.

Originating from the stables block on the Mount Juliet Estate, Hunters Yard has been reinvented into a tranquil hideaway. Described on their website as “A natural extension of The Estate’s genuine and memorable hospitality”, Hunter’s Yard is a specially designed laid-back luxury addition to the estate.

The new development includes 93 luxury bedrooms, surrounding two stylish courtyards. All of the bedrooms are air conditioned and consist of generously proportioned rooms in a number of colourways. Some of the equine past has been retained in the furnishings and decor, but certainly not at the expense of comfort.

The Hound is the hub of the property serving breakfast, an all-day menu and tempting signature cocktails – there is something to please every palate.

Commenting on the recent addition to the AA Accreditation scheme, Director of Consumer Affairs Conor Faughnan stated “We are delighted to have a second Mount Juliet property, Hunters Yard on board with us. Quality shines through in all elements of this hotel, from the team of attentive and dedicated staff to the precision and care that is evident in The Hound restaurant. Unsurprisingly, the restaurant has merited the award of 2 AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence – a great achievement for any newly appointed property” Christine Murphy, General Manager of Mount Juliet Estate, is “delighted” with the recent accolades for the Hunter’s Yard.

The public areas include a leisure and spa facility, together with some atmospheric event spaces and conference facilities for more than 200 guests.

The grounds surrounding Mount Juliet Estate are the perfect settling for relaxing activities. The impressive 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus attracts golfing enthusiasts from far and wide, but if that’s not your thing, then maybe fishing, archery, falconry or walking trails will entice you to make the most of the stunning surroundings during your stay.
