Rail users in Ireland can expect significant disruption over the Easter weekend. Iarnród Éireann will undertake engineering works at several locations around the network with bus transfers and schedule changes affecting services:
Dublin Heuston to Waterford
Bus transfers and a revised schedule for all services from Fri 30th March to Mon 2nd April inclusive. A full service will resume on Tues 3rd April.
Dublin Heuston to Newbridge/Kildare
Bus transfers between Heuston and Newbridge from Fri 30th March to approx. 12:30pm on Mon 2nd April. Revised schedules during the same period as follows:
- Dublin Heuston to Cork/Limerick/Kerry: bus transfers between Heuston and Newbridge, with trains between Newbridge and Cork, Limerick and Kerry
- Dublin Heuston to Galway/Westport: bus transfers between Heuston and Kildare, with trains between Kildare and Galway and Westport
- Dublin Heuston to Hazelhatch commuter services will operate to a revised schedule.
A full service will resume at 12:30pm on Mon 2nd April.
Northside DART, Northern Commuter and Belfast Enterprise
On Sat 31st March and Sun 1st April, the following changes will apply:
- No DART services between Howth/Malahide and Dublin Connolly. Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets on northside routes.
- Bus transfer between Dublin Connolly and Drogheda on Belfast Enterprise services, with a train between Drogheda and Belfast.
- Limited schedule on Northern Commuter services between Drogheda and Skerries, with a bus transfer between Dublin Connolly and Skerries.
A full service will resume on Mon 2nd April.
