Luas Strike
Luas commuters can expect disruption to services after SIPTU employees have voted to hold a strike with two 48-hour stoppages during the month of February.
On Thursday 11th and Friday 12th, Luas Red Line and Green Line services are expected to cease all operations as the strike takes place. Normal service will resume on Saturday 13th. Tickets are not valid on other transport providers. More information is available on the Luas website and from Luas Customer Care Locall on 1850 300 604.
Commuters are strongly advised to plan their alternative travel arrangements in advance. Bear in mind, traffic on Thursday mornings and evenings, as well as traffic on a Friday evening tends to be very busy and long delays are likely on all major routes into and out of Dublin City on those days as extra volumes of motorists take to the road. Strike action is expected to take place again on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February.
