Ten weeks ago, Dublin’s deputy Lord Mayor was diagnosed with nerve disorder Bell’s Palsy, after her face collapsed and she couldn’t open her left eye. Refusing to let this affect her work, she continued with her duties as Deputy Lord Mayor, and soon realised how common the disorder was from the reaction of those she met.
