Set amid 160 acres of beautiful wooded parkland overlooking Ballymoney Shore, Gorey, the restaurant at Seafield Golf & Spa Hotel, headed by French Executive Head Chef, Malek Hamidouche, has been awarded a prestigious AA Rosette for their superior fine dining experience. The property is one of only six hotels in County Wexford currently distinguished by an AA Rosette Award.
AA Rosettes are awarded solely for the quality of the restaurant’s cooking that demonstrates consistent standards of all dishes on the menus. Flavours are expected to be well-balanced and each dish appropriately presented using fresh and seasonal ingredients and the menu reflecting an obvious enthusiasm and commitment to promoting good quality food.
To specifically achieve one AA Rosette chefs need to display a mastery of basic techniques and be able to produce dishes of sound quality with clarity of flavors from excellent ingredients.
At Seafield Golf & Spa Hotel, Chef Hamidouche and his team, who AA Hotel Inspectors commend for thinking “outside the box”, impressed with their interesting combinations and use of local and well-chosen produce. Many of the ingredients used throughout their European style of cookery are organic or from artisan producers.

Luxury accommodation, an 18 hole championship golf course, state of the art conference facilities, a world class spa, access to Ballymoney strand and a private walk are also on offer to guests at the luxury retreat.
