When is it ever going to stop, Tax Tax Tax, Does any one have a brain cell left!!
I have been searching for something reader friendly to see what the increasing prices are, Thank’s AA
I’m furious my car is 04.I live in the country nothing has been done with our local road (that we use 4 times daily) since 1968 i have a car since 1974 paid all that tax would be enough to repair the road 4 times in that period and 12 family’s live on the road with an average of two cars
Ae there changes to Road tax rates for commercial vehicles?
tax goes up and road condition goes down. disgrace of a country. no wonder everyone is leaving. last one out turn off the lights.
Thanks AA this exactly what i was looking for, Also @ Colm i dunno where you live, but here in Leitrim the road are over done, there fixed and re done at least 2 times a year since i moved here in 1998. I guess we are just lucky. Even now perfectly good road’s are being dug up and resurfaced.
I went to do my car tax so that I would have my disc before the holidays and it had gone up already when it not the 1/1/12 yet – why is this
What a joke cars a sutch a easy target.every one should stop paying it.its a joke when your tax is more than your insurance
I have a pre 2008 1 litre Yaris, it has only 33,000 kms on the clock, I can’t afford a new car since recession hit, and we have had pay cuts etc. This two-tiered system we currently have for road tax doesn’t work, my Yaris can’t have caused as much polution as someone in a newer car doing fair more KMs, so why don’t we base the road tax on KMs driven, change the NCT to an annual test and based on your road usage, and your cars immisions at this then calculate what your road tax is. My car is 6 years old has had 2 NCTed, and really has only done 1-2 years worth of driving, how many of the newer cars on the lower Road Tax and not yet NCTed have done 3 or 4 times this amount of driving and thus polluted more. Its all just a money making scheme and yet we see nothing in return for it.
What the bllody hell is going on with the petrol prices. Why is,nt the AA up in arms over these insane prices, maybe we should have a nationwide boycot of all petrol forecourts this would have a serious impact on the goverments finances. How can petrol prices go up straight away when they here a war maybe brewing, they bought there oil 3 months ago.I believe a major investigation is needed into how oil is prices and who is bloody behind it.I,m sick to death of it and within the next 2-3 months will be giving up my car because its simply not worth it.
How can it be that the tax for a 1.9 passat 2003 is 582 euro based on the size of the engine and only 302 euro (band C) under the CO2 emissions ? This makes no sense to me . . .
I do a course 12 miles from where I live 3 mornings a week, my mother is in a nursing home just up the road from where I do my course. So it’s a necessity for me to drive that distance for those 3 mornings a week but apart from that I shop local and don’t go out as much the other 4 days of the week because I just can’t afford the petrol for the car. I think the government are treating the people with so much contempt they are basically holding us to ransom as they have the power to cut the tax on fuel but they don’t. I have lost all respect for Fine Gael since they came to power.
many of thousands of people are driving with out road tax .fact is people can afford the rip of prices people cant afford to feed there kids pay bills etc etc .i suggest our and i repeat our goverment give people a tax break for one year bring in a system like tv licence were you go your local post office to buy your stamps .the same thing can and should be done for road tax people can buy there stamps on a weekley basis stick them on a card twelve months later go get your car taxed .repeat the same process for the following year and so on .its a system that would work .so if your tax is for example 520 euro a year you buy 10 euros worth of stamps per week .we can pay every other utility bill in our local post office why not our road tax
YOUR CURRENT RATE ABOVE FOR 1900-2000 SEEMS TO BE INCORRECT
