MAIN TRAFFIC

 
WESTMEATH: Works in place in Mullingar Town are causing delays.

CORK: In Mallow, the N72 Killarney/ Fermoy Rd is closed northbound from Mallow Bridge (R619) to Muddy Hill until Tues 20th May for works. Diversions are signposted.

WEXFORD: A large removal will take place this evening from Kiltealy Rd to Bunclody Church in Bunclody. The service will take place in the church at 7pm. Tomorrow (Fri 25th) the funeral will take place and traffic travelling on the N80 Carlow/Enniscorthy Rd will be disrupted from 11:30am.

ANTRIM: Delays are likely through Larne town centre from 6pm until 9pm due to a parade taking place. 

GALWAY: The N83 Tuam/ Ballyhaunis Rd at Bridge St in Dunmore will be closed tonight from 8pm to 6am. Diversions will be in place.

Works are in operation at the jct of School Rd and Bothar na Choiste in Castlegar until Fri (25th) from 9:30am to 5pm daily. Only local access from Headford Rd to School Rd will be maintained. There will be no access to School Rd from Bothar na Choiste or from Tuam Rd. There will also be no access to Tuam Rd via School Rd either. There will also be traffic restrictions on Bothar Na Choiste from Mon 28th April to Fri 2nd May.

TIPPERARY: Works take place on the Nenagh/ Birdhill Rd (R494) in Ballina until Fri (25th). They will be in operation from 7am until 7pm each day and delays are expected as a stop/ go system will be in place. 

LONGFORD: The Lanesborough/ Ballymahon Rd (R392) is closed at Derryhaunbeg for works until 7pm. Diversions are in place.

CITY TRAFFIC

GALWAY: Busiest in Galway City both ways from the Headford Rd onto Bohermore. Delays also outbound on the Tuam Rd through Claregalway and outbound on Fr Griffin Rd. 

WATERFORD:  Traffic is moving well in Waterford City. 

LIMERICK: Traffic is moving well in Limerick City.

Expect delays at Groody R/A due to a stop/ go system which is in operation until Fri (25th) as part of the ongoing works in place until May. Lane closures are already in place on the Old Dublin Rd (R445) at the Groody R/A between the Parkway R/A and Castletroy until mid-May from 7am to 7pm.

CORK: Busy from Parnell place to Merchants Quay and on to Lavitts Quay. Busy also outbound on Grand Parade. Further out and it is busy but moving outbound on the South Ring Rd approaching the JLT.


EVENTS

TIPPERARY: Racing will take place at Tipperary Racecourse today (24th). The first race is at 5pm and the last race is at 8:05pm. Tipperary Racecourse is located on the N24 Limerick/Waterford Rd 3km from Tipperary Town. Extra traffic can be expected in the area before and after the races. The Racecourse is adjacent to Limerick Junction railway station.

TRAVEL

Due to Irish Rail engineering works bus transfers will be in place between Glounthaune and Cobh until Friday (25th). The works will take place from 10am to 4pm daily and bus transfers will operate in place of any affected train services. Delays of up to 25 mins can be expected to services. Services between Cork and Midleton will not be affected.

ROADWORKS

SLIGO: Works will take place on the Bunnanadden/ Ballymote Rd (R296) at Ballybrennan until Fri April 25th. Traffic control will be in operation. 

OFFALY: A stop /go system is in operation at Rahan Bridge until 6pm Wed 30th April. Take extra care on approach.

KILDARE: The Carlow /Castledermot Rd (R488) is closed between Castledermot and the M9 interchange at Prumplestown until later today. Diversions will in place via the Tullow Rd (R418) and the Killerig /Carlow Rd (R726).

CORK: The local road at Pollardstown, Mitchelstown will be closed 24/7 for works and traffic management will be in place until Sat 26th April.
