MAIN TRAFFIC

KILKENNY: A stop /go system will be place on the Dublin Rd (R712) between Kilkenny Train Station and the roundabout at the HSE until tomorrow (21st). Also, O’Loughlin Rd will be closed between the railway bridge and the Dublin Rd jct from 6am to 6pm each day. Motorists are advised to travel via the N10 Ring Rd instead.

The N77 Kilkenny/ Durrow Rd is closed between Hennebry’s Cross and the turn-off for Ardaloo until 5pm Fri 17th Oct. Southbound traffic will divert via Ballyragget, Castlecomer and the N78 Kilkenny /Castlecomer Rd. Northbound traffic will divert via the N78 at Hennebry’s Cross, Castlecomer and back onto the N77 via Ballyragget.

LIMERICK:Works will operate on the M7 Dublin/ Limerick Rd both ways between J3 Raheen and J4 Patrickswell until Fri 26th Sept. No lanes will be closed but delays can be expected.

CITY TRAFFIC

GALWAY: No delays to report around Galway City.

The bus lane is closed inbound on the Dublin Rd (R338) near GMIT from the Skerrit R/A until approx. Mon 6th Oct. Expect some delays particularly during the morning and evening rush hours.

LIMERICK: Traffic is moving well around Limerick city centre. 

Bus Éireann route 306 can only travel as far as the community centre in Ballynanty because of ongoing works. 

WATERFORD: No delays around Waterford city centre at this time. 

A new roundabout is in operation on The Quay at the Gladstone St jct. Works are ongoing in the area.


EVENTS

LAOIS/ WESTMEATH: The Tour de Leinster cycle continues until tomorrow (21st). The 600km charity cycle will travel around various counties in Leinster and delays can be expected. Today is day 3 and the cyclists left Portlaoise at 9am and are following the route through Mountrath, Tullamore, Clara, Moate, Athlone, Ballymahon and Edgeworthstown before finishing in Mullingar at approx. 6.30pm.

KERRY: Listowel Races Harvest Festival takes place until Sat 20th Sept. Today, the first race goes to post at 2pm and the last race is at 6pm. Listowel Racecourse is located on the N69/Tralee Rd, just outside Listowel. Delays can be expected in the area before and after the racing.

DUBLIN - WEXFORD: The 25th Welcome Home Wexford Cycle takes place today. 600 cyclists left UCD at 8am and are travelling along the Stillorgan Rd and onto the Dublin Rd as far as Bray, where participants will then cycle along the N11 as far as Kilmacanogue, where they will turn off and cycle through Roundwood, Annamoe, Laragh, Rathdrum, Avoca and then into Arklow town. Cyclists will then travel onto Gorey on the Old Gorey Rd (R772) before making their way to Wexford via the Gorey/ Wexford Rd (R741) before rejoining the N11 at Kitestown. The cycle then concludes at the Maldron Hotel in Wexford.

ROADWORKS

WICKLOW: A single lane traffic system will be in place on the N81 Conlans Hill until Wed 24th Sept from 8am to 6pm for works. Works will also be in place on the N81 Dublin/ Blessington Rd until approx. 6th Oct for works. Delays can be expected.

WICKLOW: A stop/go system is in place on the N11 Dublin/ Wexford Rd between Jack Whites and Scratenagh until Sunday (21st) from 9pm to 6am each night for works. Expect delays Further north, temporary lanes are also in place both ways on the N11 at Kilmurray, south of Lil Doyle's until Feb 2015 for ongoing works. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.

WICKLOW: Works take place on the Greystones/ Kilcoole Rd (R761) at the Killincarrig R/A until Tues 6th Oct from 8am until 6pm each day.

DONEGAL: Works will take place in Stranorlar on Meeting House St (N13) from McClays Corner to Admiran Park until 3rd Oct. Delays can be expected. This is part of the N13 Donegal/ Derry Rd so allow extra time for your journey.

KILKENNY: Works will take place on the N24 Clonmel/ Waterford Rd between Ballygriffin and New Aglish until Fri 26th Sept. Expect delays.

TIPPERARY: Works will take place on the N62 Templemore /Horse and Jockey Rd between Templemore and the M8 Cork /Dublin Rd until Sun (21st). A stop /go system will be in place from 8am to 8pm daily.

KILDARE: A stop/go system will be in place on New Abbey Rd (R413) in Kilcullen until further notice. Works will be in place east of the Naas Rd jct to just beyond the Athy Rd jct.

LEITRIM: Works will operate on the N4 Sligo/ Dublin Rd between Mohill Cross and the Dromod R/A until mid-Sept between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Expect delays.
