*MAIN TRAFFIC*

LIMERICK: Temporary traffic lights are in place on the N21 Limerick/ Tralee Rd along a 500m stretch of road approx 1km south of Newcastle West on the Abbeyfeale side until the end of Sept. Continuing south after the traffic light set up, motorists will emerge onto the newly constructed road on the Abbeyfeale side.

MONAGHAN: Works are taking place on the N2 Dublin/ Monaghan Rd south of Castleblayney, between Derryilan and Tullyvin until approx. Sun 13th Sept.

WEXFORD: A stop/ go system is in place for works on the Gorey/ Wexford Rd (R741) just outside Wexford Town at Ardcavan from 7:30am until 6pm each day until Fri 16th Oct. Motorists can divert via Castlebridge and the N11 to avoid long delays.

GALWAY: Works are ongoing on the N59 Galway/ Clifden Rd at Moycullen and temporary traffic lights are in operation until December.

*CITY TRAFFIC*

LIMERICK: It's moving well in Limerick City.

A stop/ go system will be in place for works on the Dooradoyle Rd from the Crescent SC to the Mulcair Rd jct from 7:30am until 8pm each day until this Sunday (30th). Then, from Monday (31st) until the end of October, that stop/ go system will be in place from 9:30am to 3:30pm each day. Expect delays.

Park Rd is closed for works between the Pa Healy Rd and the South Canal Bank, which itself has also been closed along with Park Bridge, North Canal Bank and part of the Lwr Park Rd until Fri 4th Sept.

CORK: Moving well in Cork City.

Clontarf Bridge has reopened ahead of schedule after being closed for works for most of the summer.

WATERFORD: There are no problems for Waterford City traffic.

GALWAY: There are no major delays to report in Galway city centre.

*EVENTS*

OFFALY: The Pedal the Peaks/ Pat Colgan Charity Cycle takes place in Tullamore on Sun 30th August. The cycle will get underway at 9:15am before travelling through Killeigh, Mountmellick, Clonaslee, Kinnity and around the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Motorists are advised to expect some delays.

LONGFORD: The Longford Marathon takes place in Longford on Sun 30th Aug. The marathon gets underway from Main St, Longford at 8:30am and will finish at the same location by early afternoon. Motorists in the town are advised to expect some delays in the town as a result. Main St in the town will be closed from 10am to 4pm. All through traffic is requested to use the N4 & N5 by-passes. Diversions will be in place in the town for local traffic. This is likely to affect match traffic heading for Croke Park using the N4.

KILDARE: Racing takes place at the Curragh on Sun 30th Aug. The first race is at 2:05pm and the last race is at 5:20pm. The Curragh is located just off the M7 between Newbridge (J12) and Kildare Town (J13). Trains from Heuston Station (Dublin), Waterford, Cork, Limerick and Galway to Kildare Station with a Free shuttle to the racecourse. Bus Éireann provide a race day service from Busáras in Dublin City Centre.

CORK: Racing takes place at Cork Racecourse on Sun 30th Aug. The first race is at 2:25pm and the last is at 5:40pm. The first race is at 2:25pm and the last is at 5:40pm. Cork Racecourse is situated 2km from Mallow on the N72/ Killarney Rd. Extra traffic can be expected in the area before and after the races.  

ANTRIM: In Belfast, Boucher Rd and Stockman's Lane will be closed between 10:15pm and 11:45pm each night until Sunday (30th) to facilitate a music festival. Delays can also be expected in the area throughout the day. Parking is located at the King's Hall Complex, with coach parking at the 'Fruit Market' on Boucher Rd. The taxi pick-up point after each event will be Apollo Rd.

WATERFORD: The Bluegrass Festival takes place in Dunmore East, Waterford until Sunday (30th). From Dublin, travel south on the M9 to Waterford City. From there, the village is approx. 20 mins drive via the Dunmore Rd (R683/R684). From Cork take the N25 to Waterford. Take the Outer Ring Rd and turn off for Dunmore East via Waterford Airport.

TIPPERARY: The Portroe Gathering takes place until Sunday (30th). Large crowds are expected over the weekend so motorists are advised  to take care due to the increased numbers of pedestrians in the Portroe and Garrykennedy areas.

*ROADWORKS*

CORK: The local Glannagaul Rd will close for works from Gearagh Cross to Glannagaul from 7pm on Sun 30th Aug to 10pm on Sun 11th Oct. Diversion routes will be signposted.  

KILDARE: The Blackwood/ Naas Rd (R409) is closed at Carragh Bridge until approx. late December to facilitate repair works. Take an alternative route.

CORK: The Cloyne/ Shanagarry Rd (R629) will be closed for works between Ballymaloe More and Shanagarry until 9pm on Fri 4th Sept. Diversions will be in place.

LOUTH: The N53 Castleblaney/ Dundalk Rd will be closed for works from Barronstown to Hackballscross until Mon 23rd Nov. Motorists will have to divert via Ardee and Carrickmacross.

KILKENNY: Works will take place on the N24 Waterford/ Limerick Rd through Mooncoin Village until Fri 27th Nov. Temporary traffic lights will be in place. Delays can be expected.

DONEGAL: Ardaravan Rd in Buncrana will be closed from the McCarter Rd jct to the Hillhead Rd due to works which are in place until Sunday (30th).

TIPPERARY: A stop/ go system will be in place on Davitt St (N24), Tipperary until Tues 8th Sept between 8am and 6pm each day for works. Expect delays.

CLARE: Harmony Row in Ennis will be closed between the Bindon St jct and the Abbey St/ Newbridge Rd jct until Tues 1st Sept due to works.

SLIGO: Works are taking place on the Boyle/ Ballina Rd (R294) between Tubbercurry and Annagh Bridge until approx. Fri 4th Sept.

SLIGO: Works will take place on the Sligo/Leitrim Rd (R284) at Sooey until Fri 4th Sept. A traffic control system will be in place.

SLIGO: Works will take place on the Ballymote/ Bunanadden Rd (R296) at Carrownanty until Fri 4th Sept. A traffic management will be in place.

SLIGO: Works will take place on the N59 Galway/Sligo Rd at Ballysadare until Fri 4th Sept from 9am until 7pm each day. A stop/go system will be in operation.

GALWAY: The Old Dublin Rd in Oranmore will be closed intermittently from the Main St jct to the Oranbeg R/A for works until Fri 25th Sept. These works will not operate at the same time as the works on Main St. Diversions will be in place and local access will be maintained.

LAOIS: A stop/ go system will be in place on the N80/ Stradbally Rd in Portlaoise between the SCR and Block Rd until Sept so expect some delays.

LOUTH: Inner Relief Rd in Dundalk will be closed between Hoeys Lane and Hardys Lane for works until Monday (31st). Traffic control will also be in place along the route between Hoeys Lane and Crown Plaza Hotel.

KILDARE: A one way system will be in place southbound on the Kilcullen Rd (R448) in Naas at Piper's Hill, as part of ongoing works until December. Traffic wishing to access Naas from the Kilcullen direction will need to divert at Mylerstown Cross, drive towards Punchestown and then towards Naas on the Ballymore Eustace Rd (R411)

WATERFORD: Works will take place on the Whitehall/ Lismore Rd at Knockacomortish until the beginning of September. Expect delays.
