KILDARE: The hard shoulder and left lane of the M7 Limerick/ Dublin Rd northbound will be closed this evening from 6pm between J12 Newbridge and J11 M9 until 6am tomorrow (26th). Slow down and take extra care as traffic will be reduced to one lane.

LIMERICK: Southbound traffic on the N21 Limerick/ Tralee Rd is being diverted at Newcastle West at the Old Pike R/A onto the Buttevant Rd (R522) before returning to the N21 at St Ita's Terrace until Fri 19th Dec. Northbound traffic will remain unaffected for the duration of the works.

CORK: Works take place on the N20 Cork /Limerick Rd between Buttevant and Lisballyhay until Dec.  Motorists are advised to travel via Doneraile instead. Expect delays.


GALWAY: Moving well in Galway City Centre with no major issue for traffic at this time.

CORK: No major delays reported in Cork City Centre at this time.

Until 7am on Tues 28th Oct, the northbound bore of JLT will be closed due to works. A contra flow system will be in operation in the southbound bore as a result. Delays can be expected as a result.

LIMERICK: Traffic is moving well now in Limerick city centre.

WATERFORD: It's moving well in Waterford City.


IRISH RAIL: There will be no Irish Rail service between Pearse and Dun Laoghaire today and tomorrow (26th) because of major engineering works. Bus transfers will be in operation between Dublin Connolly and Gorey in both directions. 


SLIGO: Sligo Live takes place in Sligo Town until Mon 27th Oct. Events will take place at various locations in the town and delays are expected. Delays can be expected in the vicinity of Knocknarea Arena at IT Sligo between 7pm and 8pm each night. Delays are also expected along Teeling St over the course of the festival.

SLIGO: The Connacht club SFC quarter-final between Tubbercurry and Aughawillan takes place on Sun 26th Oct at Markievicz Park in Sligo town. Throw in is at 2pm. Markievicz Park is located on Pearse Rd in Sligo. Delays are to be expected before and after the match through Sligo Town.

WEXFORD: The Wexford Opera Festival continues until Sat 2nd Nov in Wexford Town. Various events are taking place over the course of the festival and delays can be expected as a result.

WEXFORD: Wexford Spiegeltent Festival takes place in Wexford Town until Monday 27th Oct. There are a variety of events taking place as part of the festival and this will attract extra traffic to the area. Delays are likely as a result, particularly in the vicinity of the Quay in Wexford Town.

CAVAN: The Virginia Pumpkin Festival takes place in Co. Cavan until Tues 27th Oct. This event usually attracts large crowds over the course of the festival so delays can be expected around Virginia and on all approach routes to town, particularly in both directions on the N3 Cavan/ Dublin Rd , the Ballyjamesduff/ Mullagh Rd (R194) and on the Bailieborough Rd (R178). To accommodate the festival, New St in Virginia will be closed on Sun 26th Oct from 10am to 11pm.

CORK: The Cork Jazz Festival will take place in Cork City until Mon 27th Oct. Events will take place in venues across the city; including The Savoy Theatre, Cork Opera House, Everyman Theatre, Triskel Christchurch, Triskel Auditorium and Cyprus Avenue. Approx 40,000 people are expected to attend over the course of the weekend and traffic is likely to be heavy around the city centre as a result.

CORK: The Westlodge Hotel Fastnet Rally takes place on Sunday 26th October in West Cork. To facilitate the race, there will be number of local roads closed in the areas of Skibbereen and Bantry. Delays can be expected as a result. Stages 1, 4 and 7 take place in Mealagh Valley with local roads in the area closed from 8.15am and 5.50pm. Stages 2, 5 and 8 will take place around Glanaphuca with roads closed from 8.50am to 6pm. Stages 3 and 6 are being held in Bulls Pocket with local roads closed from 10.40am to 5.20pm. Wolfe Tone Square will be closed from 6am to 4.30pm to facilitate a servicing area for the rally. The one way system on the southern section of Wolfe Tone Square will be altered to accommodate two-way traffic.

GALWAY: Racing takes place at Galway Racecourse on Sunday 26th October and Monday 27th October. On Sun, the first race is at 1.25pm and the last race is at 4.45pm. On Mon, the first  race is at 1.35pm and the last race is at 4.35pm. Racecourse is situated approximately 5km from Galway City, in Ballybrit on Bothar na dTreabh. Expect delays in the area before and after the races.

WATERFORD: The Munster club SHC quarter-final between Ballygunner and Cratloe takes place on Sun 26th Oct at Walsh Park in Waterford. Throw in is at 2.30pm. Walsh Park is located on Slievekeale Rd in Waterford City. Extra traffic can be expected through the city and on the approach roads.


KILDARE: Carragh Bridge will be closed on the Naas /Carragh Rd (R409) until 10am Mon 27th Oct. Local diversions will be in place.

CORK: Kilbarry Bridge Rd (R584) will be closed from 8am on Sat 25th Oct until 6pm on Mon 27th Oct to facilitate works. Diversions are in place.

CORK: The Macroom/ Kilbarry Rd (R584) will be closed at Kilbarry Bridge until Mon 27th Oct from 8am until 6pm each day. This is to facilitate bridge works. Diversions will be in place.

ARMAGH: Works will take place on the A28 Newry/ Armagh Rd until Wed 29th Oct. As a result the road will be closed northbound between Newry and Markethill. Diversion will be in place and delays can be expect.

WICKLOW: Diversions are in place on the N11 Wexford/ Dublin Rd at Jack Whites due to ongoing works until March 2015. Motorists are being diverted along a new alignment through to the new R/A before rejoining the existing N11. These works have caused delays particularly during rush hours so bear that in mind. 

WESTMEATH: The hard shoulder and left lane of the M6 Galway/ Dublin Rd eastbound are closed between J8 Athlone East and J7 Moate East until 19th June for works. Take extra care in the area.

WESTMEATH: The N52 Mullingar /Kells Rd is closed between Killynan North and Turin South for works until Fri 31st Oct. Motorists travelling towards Mullingar should turn right onto the Delvin /Castlepollard Rd (R395), left onto the Castlepollard /Mullingar Rd (R394), then east on the N4 Sligo /Dublin Rd  to J15 Mullingar East. Motorists travelling north on the N52 should continue on the N4 westbound and exit at J17 Mullingar West and proceed north on the Castlepollard /Mullingar Rd (R394) as far as Castlepollard and then turn right onto the Delvin /Castlepollard Rd (R395) and rejoin the N52 at Delvin.

GALWAY: Cross St will close between the Middle St and Bridge St jcts from Sun 26th Oct until Tues 11th Nov for works.

GALWAY: Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on the N17 Tuam/ Claremorris Rd at Milltown between 7am and 7pm Mon to Fri until mid Dec. Motorists should allow additional time for their journeys and expect delays. This is to facilitate works.

GALWAY: Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the N63 Galway/ Longford Rd at Newbridge between 7am and 7pm Mon to Fri until mid Dec. Motorists should allow additional time for their journeys and expect delays. 

GALWAY: Temporary traffic lights will be in place in Letterfrack between 7am and 7pm Mon to Fri until mid Dec. Motorists should allow additional time for their journeys and expect delays.

MONAGHAN: The N2 Castleblayney Bypass is closed southbound from the Ballybay Rd jct to the Tullyvin R/A until approx. Nov. Diversions are in place. Delays can be expected through Castleblayney as a result.

KILKENNY: Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the N78 Kilkenny /Castlecomer Rd for works at Clashduff Bridge until Fri 7th Nov. Expect delays.

DONEGAL: Traffic management is in place on the N15 Stranorlar/ Strabane Rd between Killygordon and Liscooley until Mon 15th Dec due to works taking place.

LONGFORD: Works are ongoing on the N4 Sligo /Dublin Rd around 1km outside Edgeworthstown on the Longford side. These works will take place Mon to Fri (excluding Oct Bank Hol) from 8am to 6pm until Thurs 20th Nov. Expect minor delays. The speed limit is reduced to 60kmph.
