*MAIN TRAFFIC*

KILKENNY: The local road between Sevenhouses Cross Roads and the N10 Waterford /Kilkenny Rd will be closed from 10am to 3pm on Fri 22nd Aug. Diversions will be in place.

WICKLOW: Temporary lanes are in place both ways on the N11 Wexford /Dublin Rd at Kilmurray, south of Lil Doyle's until further notice for ongoing works. 

GALWAY: Works are taking place on the N18 between Ardrahan and Clarinbridge until Fri 10th Oct. A stop/ go system will be in place from 7am to 7pm Mon to Fri. Expect delays.

GALWAY/ ROSCOMMON: Temporary traffic lights are in operation on the N60 Castlebar /Roscommon Rd between Castlerea and Ballymoe until Mon 22nd Sept.

CORK: Lane restrictions and a reduced speed limit will be in place 24/7 on the M8 Cork /Dublin Rd between J14 Fermoy North and J15 Fermoy South for works until Mon 25th Aug. From Tues 26th Aug, there will be further changes to the works and lane restrictions will remain in place until Tues 9th Sept. 

LIMERICK: Works are in place on the N21 Limerick/ Tralee Rd through Templeglantine until the end of Aug. Two way traffic is being maintained but delays are expected.

ANTRIM: Rasharkin Village will close to through traffic on Fri 22nd August between 7pm and 9.30pm for a parade. Diversions will be in place. 

*CITY TRAFFIC*

CORK: No major delays to report for Cork City traffic. 

Lane restrictions will be in place for works along Horgan’s Quay and Penrose Quay from 7:30am to 4:30pm daily until Fri 22nd Aug. Expect delays.

A lane closure will be in place on Custom House Quay from 9:30am to 4:30pm daily until Fri 29th Aug for works.

Lane restrictions are in place from 9:30am to 3:30pm on the N27/ Kinsale Rd from the Kinsale Rd R/A to the Cork Airport R/A due to works daily until Fri 22nd Aug. Take extra care on approach.

Lane restrictions are in place on Douglas East Bridge from 9pm to 6am for works.

LIMERICK: Traffic is moving well in Limerick City at this stage of the evening.

GALWAY: No major problems reported for traffic in Galway City. 

WATERFORD: Traffic in Waterford City Centre is moving well at the moment. 

*TRAVEL* 

Irish Rail cannot guarantee services for Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August due to threatened industrial action. This will affect Intercity, DART and Commuter services. See Irish Rail for further details. 

*EVENTS*

KERRY: The Killarney August Racing Festival takes place until Sat 23rd Aug. The first race on Fri (22nd) is off at 5pm the last race is at 8.10pm and on Sat (23rd), the first race goes to post at 1.45pm. Killarney Racecourse is located 1km outside Killarney, just off the N71/Kenmare Rd. It is within walking distance of the town. Expect extra traffic in the area.

WATERFORD: The Dunmore East Bluegrass Festival takes place in Dunmore East until Sun 24th Aug. Various events will take place in Dunmore East as part of the festival. Motorists can expect delays on approach to the village, particularly on the Waterford/ Dunmore East Rd (R684). Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation along the Dock Rd.

GALWAY: The Galway Community Pride Festival takes place until Sun 24th Aug. There are a number of events taking place at various locations around Galway City across the four days. The Pride Parade itself takes place on Sat 23rd Aug at 2pm, beginning at the Town Hall Theatre on Courthouse Square. William St West, from Henry St to Munster Ave, will be closed from 12pm to 2.30am to facilitate on-street entertainment as part of Galway Community Pride. Diversions will be in place.

WESTMEATH: Racing will take place at Kilbeggan Racecourse on Fri 22nd Aug. The first race is off at 4.45pm and the last race is at 7.55pm. Getting There: Kilbeggan Racecourse is situated 1.5 km outside Kilbeggan, off the N6 Dublin/Galway Rd just north of Tullamore. Expect delays in the area before and after the event.

WESTMEATH: The second weekend of HSE National Community Games Finals take place from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August at Athlone Institute of Technology in Athlone. Athlone IT is located just off J8 Athlone East on the M6/N6 Galway/ Dublin Rd, on the Old Dublin Rd (R446) in Athlone. This event will bring extra traffic to the area and delays can be expected.

*ROADWORKS*

CORK: Main St in Carrigtwohill will close in parts for works overnight from 7pm to 7am daily until Sat 30th Aug. An alternative route will be signposted. HGV’s accessing the IDA site should use N25 Cork/ Waterford Rd at J3 Tullagreen.

CORK: North Main St, Youghal will be closed until 6pm on Fri 22nd Aug to facilitate works. Diversions will be in place. 

KILDARE: There is a stop/ go system in place on the Dublin Rd (R148) in Leixlip at Intel from until 8am Fri 22nd Aug to facilitate works. Expect delays.

KILDARE: A stop/go system will be in place on New Abbey Rd (R413) in Kilcullen until further notice. Works will be in place east of the Naas Rd Jct to just beyond the Athy Rd Jct.

WICKLOW: Works take place on Main St, Kilcoole until Tues 26th Aug. Traffic diversions will be in place at times.

LEITRIM: Works will operate on the N4 Sligo/ Dublin Rd between Mohill Cross and Dromod R/A until mid-Sept between 8am and 5pm, Mon to Fri. Expect delays.
