MAIN TRAFFIC

ROSCOMMON:The N5 Ballaghaderreen Bypass will open at midday ahead of schedule today. This forms part of the N5 Westport /Longford Rd. The 14km scheme commences at the N5 Charlestown Bypass in the townland of Currinah and rejoins the existing N5 in the townland of Rathkeery.

WESTMEATH/ROSCOMMON: A stop/go system is in place for works on the N61 Athlone/ Boyle Rd at the junction with the N6 Dublin/ Galway Rd (J12 Roscommon) between 7am and 7pm each day. Temporary traffic lights will also be in place overnight each night. Expect delays.

WICKLOW: Temporary traffic lanes are in place northbound on the N11 Dublin/ Wexford Rd at Scratenagh (after the Arklow Bypass) for ongoing works. Southbound traffic will diverted off the N11. 

WICKLOW: Bear in mind, temporary lanes are also in place both ways on the N11 Dublin/ Wexford at Kilmurray, south of Lil Doyle's until Feb 2015 for ongoing works.

WEXFORD: Works will take place on the N11 Dublin /Wexford Rd at Ballinclare until Friday 12th Sept. A stop /go system will be in place from 8am to 6pm (excl weekends). Expect delays.

DONEGAL: Works will take place in Stranorlar on Meeting House St (N13)  from McClays Corner to Admiran Park until 3rd Oct. Expect delays. This is part of the N13 Donegal/ Derry Rd so allow extra time for your journey.

GALWAY: Works are taking place on the N18 between Ardrahan and Clarinbridge until Fri 10th Oct. A stop/ go system will be in place from 7am to 7pm Mon to Fri. Expect delays.

CORK: Lane restrictions and a reduced speed limit are in place both ways on the M8 Cork /Dublin Rd between J15 Fermoy South and J14 Fermoy North until Thurs 4th Sept. From Fri 5th, to Tues 9th Sept, lane closures will be just be in place southbound.

CITY TRAFFIC

GALWAY: Traffic remains busy on the N17/ Tuam Rd through Claregalway. Other than that, there are no major delays to report around Galway City Centre.

LIMERICK: Traffic in Limerick City Centre is moving well at this stage of the morning.

CORK: Delays inbound on South Link Rd at Turners Cross and again at Boreenmanna Rd jct and then further in approaching Albert St, which is busy inbound onto Penrose Quay. Delays from Merchants Quay onto Lavitts Quay. Delays are easing outbound on the Wilton Rd between Model Farm Rd and Wilton R/A. Traffic is now moving well eastbound on the N40 South Ring Rd from J10 Mahon through to the JLT. Still slow on the N8 Dublin Rd approaching the Dunkettle Interchange.

Lane restrictions will be in place on both Horgans Quay and Penrose Quay until Friday (5th)between 7.30am and 4.30pm each day to facilitate works. Expect delays.

A lane closure will be in place on Custom House Quay in Cork City from 9:30am to 3pm daily until Fri 5th Sept for works.

There will be a lane restriction in place on Albert Quay between 9.30am to 3.30pm until 5th Sept due to works

Maylor St will be closed from 8am until 6pm today for works.

St.Peter and Paul's Place will be closed from 8am to 6pm until Wed (3rd) to facilitate works.

Oliver Plunkett St will be closed from 7pm until 6am on Wed 3rd Sept.

WATERFORD: Traffic is moving well in Waterford City Centre at the moment.


ROADWORKS

GALWAY: A stop/ go system will be in place on the N18 Galway/ Limerick Rd between Kilcolgan and Clarinbridge from 9.30am to 5pm each day until Fri 5th Sept. This is to facilitate works. Expect delays.

SLIGO/ LEITRIM: Works take place on the N16 Sligo/ Enniskillen Rd between Sligo and Manorhamilton until Fri 5th Sept from 9am to 5pm each day. Expect delays

SLIGO: Works will take place on the N16 Sligo/ Manorhamilton Rd at Doonally Bridge today from 9am to 6pm. As a result traffic will be down to one lane both ways approaching the bridge, and a number of local roads in the vicinity will be closed. Local diversion will be in place.

SLIGO: Works will take place on John St and Harmony Hill in Sligo until Fri 12th Sept.

MAYO: Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on the Castlebar/ Belmullet Rd (R312) at Cummer, Glenisland until Fri 5th Sept to facilitate works. Expect delays.

LIMERICK: A stop/ go system will be in place on Kilmallock Rd between Bengal Terrace and Kilmallock R/A  from 7am to 7pm today to facilitate works. Diversions will also be in place. 

CORK: A stop/ go system will be in place on The Rise in Bishopstown until Mon 15th Sept between 9.30am and 4.40pm.

CORK: Roadworks are taking place on Lwr Glanmire Rd, between Summer Hill North and Kent Station, until December. Expect delays as a result.

MEATH: Mobile works will take place on the N51 Drogheda/ Delvin Rd from 9am to 5pm today. Expect delays.

KILKENNY: Works will take place on the N24 Clonmel/ Waterford Rd between Ballygriffin and New Aglish until Fri 26th Sept. Expect delays.

WICKLOW: Works take place on the Greystones/ Kilcoole Rd (R761) at the Killincarrig R/As until Tues 6th Oct from 8am until 6pm each day.

WESTMEATH: Stop/ go system will be in place from 8am to 6pm until Wed on the N52 Tullamore/ Mullingar Rd, 1km south of Kilbeggan. Expect delays.

WESTMEATH: The N62 Athlone/ Birr Rd will be closed at Kilgarvan, until Fri 5th Sept from 8am to 6pm each day. Diversions will be signposted.

KILDARE: A stop/go system will be in place on New Abbey Rd (R413) in Kilcullen until further notice. Works will be in place east of the Naas Rd jct to just beyond the Athy Rd Jct.

KILDARE: Temporary traffic lights are in place on the Dublin Rd (R148) in Lexlip until Wed (3rd) from 10pm to 8am the following morning from the Intel R/A to the Intel Entrance.

LEITRIM: Works will operate on the N4 Sligo/ Dublin Rd between Mohill Cross and Dromod R/A until mid-Sept between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Expect delays.
