CORK: Crash on the N22 Ballincollig Bypass Eastbound 1km before J1 Ballincollig has been cleared.

WEATHER WARNING: Met Éireann has issued a status orange wind warning for counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo tonight from 7pm until 2pm tomorrow. Gusts of up to 110 km/h are possible, especially along exposed coasts and on higher ground.

A status yellow warning has also been issued for Munster, Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Galway and Roscommon. Strong to gale force south to southwest winds will become gale force west or northwest overnight with gusts of 90 to 110km/h. But squalls to 120km/h in some exposed parts of the northwest and north for a time overnight. 

Motorists are advised to slow down and drive with extra care as wind blown debris is likely to be a problem on secondary roads in particular. High sided vehicles are especially vulnerable on open or exposed roads. Be particularly mindful of pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.

TIPPERARY/ OFFALY: The M7 Limerick /Dublin Rd is closed today northbound from J24 Toomevara to J23 Moneygall for works until midnight on Wed (22nd). Motorists will be diverted off the M7 at J24, travel along the Nenagh /Moneygall Rd (R445) and rejoin the M7 at J23. 

CORK: Works take place on the N20 Cork /Limerick Rd between Buttevant and Lisballyhay until Dec. Motorists are advised to travel via Doneraile instead. Expect delays.

WESTMEATH: The N52 Mullingar /Kells Rd is closed between Killynan North and Turin South for works until this Fri (24th). Diversions are in place.

LIMERICK: Southbound traffic on the N21 Limerick/ Tralee Rd is being diverted at Newcastle West at the Old Pike R/A onto the Buttevant Rd (R522) before returning to the N21 at St Ita's Terrace until Fri 19th Dec. Northbound traffic will remain unaffected for the duration of the works.


LIMERICK: Traffic is moving well in Limerick City.

CORK: Delays are easing in Cork City at this stage 

Perry St will be closed from 9.30am to 4pm daily until Wed (22nd) for works.

Works are taking place on Lwr Glanmire Rd, between Summer Hill North and Kent Station, until Dec. Expect delays as a result.

Tonight, Half Moon St will be closed overnight from 7.30pm until 6am Oct to facilitate works.

Overnight works will take place on the N40 South Ring Rd eastbound between J6 Kinsale Rd and J10 Mahon until early 2015.

GALWAY: Traffic is easing in Galway City Centre. 

Keep in mind, works will take place on the Headford Rd near the Sean Mulvoy Rd jct daily from 7am to 7pm until approx. Fri 7th Nov.

Cross St Lwr is closed between Flood St and Middle St until this Sun (26th) to facilitate works. Diversions will be in place.

WATERFORD: Moving well now in Waterford City.


LAOIS: From 9pm, the M7 Dublin /Limerick Rd will be closed southbound between J16 Portlaoise East and J17 Portlaoise Centre until 6am Tues 21st Oct. Diversions will be in place. This closure will be in place each night until Wednesday (22nd) from 9pm until 6am.

LAOIS: The N80 Tullamore /Portlaoise Rd is closed between Moneyquid and Mountmellick for works until 6:30pm. It will close again tomorrow from 8am to 6:30pm. Diversions will be in place. 

WICKLOW: Diversions are in place on the N11 Wexford/ Dublin Rd at Jack Whites due to ongoing works until March 2015. Motorists are being diverted along a new alignment through to the new R/A before rejoining the existing N11. These works have caused delays particularly during rush hours so bear that in mind. 

WESTMEATH: The hard shoulder and left lane of the M6 Galway/ Dublin Rd eastbound are closed between J8 Athlone East and J7 Moate East until 19th June for works. Take extra care in the area.

MONAGHAN: Works will take place on the N12/ Armagh Rd in Monaghan from Piper's Bridge to Tamlat until Fri 24th. Diversions will be in place.

LOUTH: Works will operate on the N53 Castleblayney/ Dundalk Rd until this Friday (24th) from 9am to 7pm daily. Expect delays.

GALWAY: Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on the N17 Tuam/ Claremorris Rd at Milltown between 7am and 7pm Mon to Fri until mid Dec. Motorists should allow additional time for their journeys and expect delays. This is to facilitate works.

GALWAY: Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the N63 Galway/ Longford Rd at Newbridge between 7am and 7pm Mon to Fri until mid Dec. Motorists should allow additional time for their journeys and expect delays.

GALWAY: Temporary traffic lights will be in place in Letterfrack between 7am and 7pm Mon to Fri until mid Dec. Motorists should allow additional time for their journeys and expect delays.

MONAGHAN: The N2 Castleblayney Bypass is closed southbound from the Ballybay Rd jct to the Tullyvin R/A until approx. Nov. Diversions are in place. Delays can be expected through Castleblayney as a result.

LONGFORD: A stop/ go system is in place on the N4 Sligo/ Dublin Rd from approx. 1km outside Edgeworthstown to the Ballynagoshen Crossroads in Longford for works until mid Nov. A 60 kmph speed limit will be in place so some disruption to traffic is likely.

KILKENNY: Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the N78 Kilkenny /Castlecomer Rd for works at Clashduff Bridge until Fri 7th Nov. Expect delays.

DONEGAL: Traffic management is in place on the N15 Stranorlar/ Strabane Rd between Killygordon and Liscooley until Mon 15th Dec due to works taking place.

LOUTH: The  local Fieldstown Rd in Monasterboice will be closed until Friday (24th) for works. Diversions will be in place. 

CORK: The Rosscarbery Pier Rd will be closed daily from 8am to 6pm for works until Mon 19th Jan 2015.

CORK: Rolling road closures are in place in Mallow over Spa Walk, Bridge St, Davis St, Bridewell Lane and Murphys Car Park between 7pm and 7am each night until this Wed (22nd).
