MAIN TRAFFIC

 
WICKLOW: No further reports of a pedestrian on the M11/N11 Dublin/ Wexford Rd southbound between J5 Bray North and J6 Bray/ Fassaroe.

WICKLOW: The Rathnew/ Rathdrum Rd (R752) is closed between Rathnew and Glenealy as emergency services deal with a crash.

LIMERICK: There is a stop/go system in place for works on the N21 Limerick/ Tralee Rd through Newcastle West until Fri 19th June which has been causing some delays particularly during rush hour. 

SLIGO: The N4 Dublin/ Sligo Rd at Hughes Bridge in Sligo Town is reduced to one lane in both directions until approx. Fri 12th June. This is part of ongoing works which are taking place until mid-July. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journey, particularly during peak times.

CITY TRAFFIC

CORK: Traffic is moving well in Cork City Centre.

A stop/ go system will be in place on Blarney St for works between 9:30am and 4:30pm each day until Thurs 28th May. Expect delays.

A stop/ go system will operate for works on Centre Park Rd from 9:30am until 4pm until Fri 29th May.

A stop/ go system will be in place today on the Lwr Glanmire Rd from 7.30pm until 11:30pm to facilitate works.

A stop/ go system will be in place on Allendale Drive until 4:30pm today to facilitate works.

GALWAY:  City centre traffic is moving well around Galway at this stage. 

Keep in mind however, that the Monivea Rd (R339) is down to one lane outbound just after Carnmore Cross at Carnmore hurling pitch due to a burst watermain.The Council is at the scene. Gardai advise motorists coming from Monivea and Galway City to divert through Cregmore to avoid any delays. Allow extra time for your journey.

A section of Lough Atalia Rd is closed between the Fairgreen Rd jct and the rear entrance of Ceannt Station until this Friday (29th). A one-way system is in place on the remainder of Lough Atalia Rd, as well as on Fairgreen Rd and College Rd. Expect major delays as a result of these works. A 50kmph speed limit is in place during these works.

LIMERICK: No major delays around Limerick City at this time. 

WATERFORD: Traffic is moving well in Waterford city centre.

Works continue on the Newtown Rd and Dunmore Rd between the People's Park and Ardkeen until approx Fri 24th July. These have been causing delays, especially during rush hour. 


EVENTS

MAYO: Racing takes place at Ballinrobe Racecourse, Co Mayo today. The first race is at 6pm and the last race is at 9pm. Ballinrobe Racecourse is situated 2km from the town of Ballinrobe in Co. Mayo. It’s off the N84 Galway/Castlebar Rd. Expect extra traffic in the area.

ROADWORKS

LONGFORD:  Works and a stop/ go system take place until Fri 29th May on the N55 Granard/ Athlone Rd from Edgeworthstown to Ballymahon. Take care approaching these works.

MONAGHAN/ LOUTH: Works and a stop/ go system take place until Fri 29th on the N53 Monaghan/ Louth Rd from Castleblayney to Dundalk. Take care approaching these works.

CORK/ WATERFORD: Works will take place on N25 Cork/ Waterford Rd between Middleton and Dungarvan until Fri 29th May. A stop & go system will be in place each day from 8am to 7pm. Major delays are not expected.

MEATH: The left lane at the M3/ N3 Navan Rd northbound will close for about 1km near J10 Kells today from 11am until 4pm for works.

KILDARE: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on the M9 Waterford/ Dublin Rd northbound from J2 Kilcullen to J1 M7 from 10am until 9pm daily until Wed 27th May.

TIPPERARY: The right lane of the M7 Limerick/ Dublin Rd will close both ways at J26 Nenagh West from 8am to 8pm each day until Fri 29th May due to works.

LIMERICK: The Annacotty/ Lisnagry Rd (R445) will be reduced to one lane until Fri 29th May from Finnegans Pub to Castleconnell R/A from 7:30pm to 6am each night due to works.

WEXFORD:
Overnight works will operate on the N25 Cork /Wexford Rd in New Ross from Kent’s Cross R/A to the Campile Rd (R733) jct from 8pm until 6am until Fri 26th June. Expect delays.

KILKENNY:
Today and tomorrow (26th), Parliament St will be closed from the Bateman Quay jct to Irishtown jct from 6pm until 2am each night due to works at Irishtown/Dean St jct.

GALWAY: St Michael’s Square in Ballinasloe is closed until Mon 31st Aug due to works. Diversions will be in place.

GALWAY: A stop/ go system is in place on the N18 Galway/ Limerick Rd at Oranhill R/A until Wed 10th June. Expect delays.

WEXFORD: A stop/ go system is in place on the Wexford Rd (R730) between the N30 New Ross/ Enniscorthy Rd and the crossroads near the nurseries from 7am until 7pm today (25th).  

CLARE: Old Barrack St in Ennis will be closed between O'Connell St and Market St until Sun 7th June to facilitate works. Diversions in place via Carmody St.

CLARE: The Gort/ Miltown Malbay Rd (R460) will be closed at Letterkelly today (25th) from 8am to 6pm. Alternative routes will be signposted.

CORK: The Buttevant/ Doneraile Rd (R522) is closed in Buttevant at the Main St jct for works until Fri 5th June. Diversions are in place. Local access will be maintained.

LONGFORD: Traffic management will be in place on the N4 Dublin/ Sligo Rd at the Scry Bridge, north of Newtown Forbes until approx. Fri 19th June. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained when possible, however a single lane traffic light system will be in operation for a short duration of the works.

KILKENNY: Works are taking place on the N77 Kilkenny/ Portlaoise Rd at Ballyragget Village until May and Ballynaslee until Sept. Traffic delays can be expected.

KILDARE: Roadworks are taking places on the Kilcullen Rd in Naas at Piper's Hill until December. Delays are likely as a result.

GALWAY: Temporary traffic lights are in operation on the N59 Galway/ Clifden Rd in Moycullen. Works will continue there until December.

WICKLOW: The M11 Dublin/ Wexford Rd is down to one lane both ways 2km north of the Beehive until Fri 28th Aug due to works. Care is needed in the area as motorists get used to the new layout.

WESTMEATH: The hard shoulder and left lanes of the M6 Galway/ Dublin Rd are closed in both directions between J8 Athlone East and J7 Moate West until Fri 19th June for works. Take extra caution along this stretch of road.

SLIGO: Works will take place on the N59 Sligo/ Ballina Rd in Ballysadare between Millview Park and Shanagolden until early June. Delays can be expected.

SLIGO: Works take place on the N59 Sligo/ Ballina Rd at Owenbeg until the end of May. A stop/ go system will be in place. Expect some delays.

LIMERICK: Works are taking place on the Dublin Rd in Annacotty from 9:30am to 7:30pm daily until approx. Fri 29th May. Temporary traffic lights and a stop/go system are in operation to facilitate the works.

CORK: The Mallow/ Coachford Rd (R619) will be closed at Clydaville, outside Mallow, from Newberry Crossroads to Clyda Bridge until Fri 5th June from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Diversions will be in place.

CORK: Works will take place on the Bandon/ Drimoleague Rd (R586) at Kilbarry, Cloonties East and Cloonties West until Thurs 30th July. A temporary speed limit of 60kmph will be in place during this time.

TIPPERARY: A traffic management system will be in place for works at the Streame R/A on the Limerick Rd in Nenagh from 8am to 8pm daily until the end of May.

TIPPERARY: Works are taking place on the N24 Waterford/ Limerick Rd, approx. 3km on the Clonmel side of Carrick on Suir until Friday (29th). Traffic is down to one lane for the duration of the works.

MEATH: Bridge St (R135) in Ashbourne is closed northbound for works between Castle St and Milltown Rd jcts until 6pm on Fri 19th June. Diversions in place via Castle St.

MONAGHAN: There is a new entrance and exit to the Bree Industrial Estate in Castleblayney via the N2 Monaghan Bypass only. Care is needed as motorists get used to the new layout.

LONGFORD: Traffic management will be in place until Fri 5th June on the N55 Ballymahon/ Edgeworthstown Rd at Ballymahon Bridge for works. Expect some delays on approach.
