FLIGHTS: French and Italian Air Traffic Controllers are planning a four hour strike today (8th). Intending passengers are advised to check their airline's website before travelling to the airport.


WESTMEATH: There's a crash on the N4 Sligo/ Dublin Rd westbound after J17 Mullingar West. Gardai are en route. Traffic is slow in both directions.

GALWAY: It's slow now southbound on the N18 Limerick/ Galway Rd from Creganna and through to Clarinbridge.

CLARE: The N67 Milltown Malbay/ Lahinch Rd is closed outside Milltown Malbay at Clonbony Bridge due to a bridge collapse. Motorists have to divert via Spanish Point. Not too far away, there's a stop/ go system in place on the N67 at Freaghvaleen as part of the road has subsided.

OFFALY: Sections of the N80 Tullamore/ Carlow Rd will close between Tullamore and Portlaoise from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, weekly until Fri 30th Oct for works. Local diversions will be in place. HGVs are advised to avoid this route and divert via Portarlington.

WATERFORD: Works are taking place on the N25 Waterford/ Cork Rd at Pike Hill east of Dungarvan until Fri 30th Oct. Delays can be expected.


CORK: On the N40 South Ring Rd, the crash westbound between the Dunkettle Interchange and the JLT has been moved into the hard shoulder and traffic is now free flowing. Eastbound on the N40, it's busy from before J10 Mahon to the Dunkettle. Traffic is busy from Bachelor's Quay to Merchant's Quay. There are delays outbound on Watercourse Rd through to Redforge Rd. The Kinsale Rd is busy outbound approcahing the Kinsale Rd R/A. It's busy but moving at the moment on the Link Rd approaching Mahon S.C. There is also delays outbound on Wilton Rd. from Victoria Cross to the Sarsfield Interchange.

LIMERICK: It's very busy outbound on O'Connell Ave from before Wolfe Tone St past Punches Cross. Childers Rd is slow approaching Ballinacurra Rd. Slow both ways on Dooradoyle Rd by Crescent S.C. There are the usual delays heading out from Athlunkard St onto Corbally Rd. The Dublin Rd is busy now in both directions approaching the Parkway R/A and not too far away then, it's slow again by UL.

WATERFORD: Traffic is heavy both ways on the Dunmore Rd by the hospital due to works. In the city centre there are delays from The Quay through to Manor St.

GALWAY: It's slowest now outbound from Bohermore onto the Tuam Rd to the Bothar na dTreabh jct. Inbound on the Headford is also slow moving from the Kirwan R/A past the Galway S.C. Westbound traffic is busy as usual over Quincentenary Bridge onto the Seamus Quirke Rd past the Westside Playing Fields.


WATERFORD: Racing continues at Tramore Racecourse with the last race off at 5:35pm. Tramore Racecourse is located south of Waterford City, just outside Tramore Town. When coming from Cork follow signposts for Tramore located just before the city. All other routes come over the bridge into Waterford City and follow signs for Tramore. Trains to Plunkett station in Waterford originate at Dublin Heuston, Limerick and Rosslare.


WICKLOW: The hard shoulder of the M11 Wexford/ Dublin Rd will be closed between J18 Cloghogue and J19 Scrathenagh today (8th) and tomorrow (9th) for works.

WATERFORD/ CORK: Lane restrictions and a stop/ go system will be in place for works at various locations on the N25 Waterford/ Cork Rd between Dungarvan and Youghal until Fri 30th Oct. Delays are likely.

WATERFORD: Works will take place on the Dungarvan/ N72 Rd (R672) at Kilrush until Oct 22nd. A traffic management system will be in place and delays can be expected.

LAOIS: Works are taking place on the N80 Portlaoise/ Carlow Rd at Cappalough and Graigue until 7pm today (8th). A traffic management system will be in place at each location; expect delays.

KILKENNY: A stop/go system will be in place for works on The Knock/ Stoneyford Rd (R713) at Ennisnag until 4pm today. Expect delays in the area.

CORK: Tramore Rd will close for works between Pouladuff R/A and Woodlawn today and tomorrow (9th) from 7:30pm until 6am the following morning.

TIPPERARY: Traffic restrictions will be in place on the Limerick/ Birdhill Rd at Castleconnell and again, on the Birdhill/ Nenagh Rd (R445) until tomorrow (9th). Expect some delays.

TIPPERARY: Barrack St in Fethard will be closed from its jct with Burke St to the Lower Green St jct until 6pm on Sat 5th Dec.

TIPPERARY/ KILKENNY: The Cashel/ Kilkenny Rd (R691) will be closed from O'Sullivan's Cross outside Ballingarry to Ballyclovan until 6pm on Sat 19th Dec. Diversions will be in place.

DONEGAL: Works are taking place on the N15 Ballybofey/ Donegal Rd outside Ballybofey until approx June 2016. Traffic management systems will be in place along the route and delays can be expected. 

DONEGAL: Works are taking place on the N56 Glenties/ Dungloe Rd until approx Dec 2016. Traffic management systems will be in place along the route and delays can be expected.

DONEGAL: A stop/ go system is in place on the Brinlack/ Bunbeg Rd in Derrybeg (R257) until approx Thurs 5th Nov for works.

CORK:The Buttevant/ Kanturk Rd (R580) is closed until 4pm on Fri 23rd Oct at Abbey View in Buttevant between the jcts of Main St and New St. A diversion route will be signposted.

LOUTH: The N53 Castleblaney/ Dundalk Rd is closed for works from Barronstown to Hackballscross until Mon 23rd Nov. HGVs are advised to divert via the M1 Belfast/ Dublin Rd, the N33 Ardee Rd and then the N2 Dublin/ Monaghan Rd to Castleblayney.

GALWAY: The Square and St Mary's Rd (R334) in Headford will be closed for works each night from 8pm until 6am the following morning until Friday (9th). Diversions will be in place.

GALWAY: The Killagoola Rd in Moycullen will be closed for works until Mon 30th Nov. A diversion route will be signposted.

MEATH: The N51 Navan/ Athboy Rd and the Kells/ Athboy Rd (R164) will close at the jct where they meet at Ballyboy for works until 6pm Fri 23rd Oct. Motorists coming from Navan should take the M3 Dublin/ Cavan Rd and then for Delvin use the N52 Dundalk/ Mullingar Rd and for Athboy take the N52 and the Kilkeelan/ Athboy Rd (R154).

OFFALY: The N62 Thurles/ Athlone Rd will be closed between Cloghan and Ferbane until Fri 6th Nov due to works. Diversions will be in place but allow additional time for your journey.

KILKENNY: Works will take place on the N24 Waterford/ Limerick Rd through Mooncoin Village until Fri 27th Nov. Temporary traffic lights will be in place. Delays can be expected.

KILKENNY: Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on the N78 Athy/ Kilkenny Rd at Webbsborough until tomorrow (9th) between 9am and 4:30pm each day due to works.

KILKENNY: Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on the Goresbridge/ Gowran Rd (R702) at Grange Lower until 4pm today (8th). 

SLIGO: Works continue on the Sligo/Leitrim Rd (R284) at Sooey until approx. this Friday (9th). A traffic control system will be in place.

SLIGO: A stop/ go system will be in place on the Boyle/ Tobercurry Rd at Cashel near Cloonloo until approx Fri 30th Oct. Delays are expected.

LAOIS: The Dublin Rd (R445) in Portlaoise has been reduced to one lane and temporary traffic lights are in place to facilitate works until Fri 11th Dec.

LAOIS: Works will take place at various locations along the N80 Carlow/ Tullamore Rd until Tues 20th Oct.

WEXFORD: A stop/go system is in place for works on the Gorey/ Wexford Rd (R741) just outside Wexford Town at Ardcavan from 7:30am until 6pm each day until Fri 16th Oct. Motorists can divert via Castlebridge and the N11 to avoid long delays.

GALWAY: Works will take place on the N18 Limerick/ Galway Rd between Rocklands and Creganna from 9:30am until 4:30pm Mon to Fri from Mon 28th Sept until the end of October. A stop/ go system will be in place and delays are likely.

GALWAY: A stop/go system north of Tuam on the N83 Ballyhaunis Rd will be in place intermittently at Forty Acres until Feb 2016 to facilitate ongoing works.

GALWAY: A stop/go system will be in place intermittently on the N84 Headford Rd south of Headford Town until Feb 2016 to facilitate ongoing works.

GALWAY: Works are ongoing on the N59 Galway/ Clifden Rd at Moycullen and temporary traffic lights are in operation until December.

CLARE: A stop/ go system has been set up on the Tulla Rd (R352) in Ennis until Fri 16th Oct for works. HGVs are advised to exit the M18 Galway/ Limerick Rd via J12 Killow or J14 Barefield instead of J13 Tulla.

KILDARE: A one way system is in place in Naas on the Kilcullen Rd (R448) southbound at Piper's Hill until December. Traffic wishing to access Naas from the Kilcullen direction will need to divert at Mylerstown Cross, drive towards Punchestown and then towards Naas on the Ballymore Eustace Rd (R411).

KILDARE: Repair works are taking place on Carragh Bridge on the Naas/ Blackwood Rd (R409) until early Nov, approximately. The bridge remains closed and motorists should seek alternative routes.
