The AA In Ireland
The AA was established in Ireland in 1910 in offices at College Green, Dublin. Much has changed in the intervening years. We remain an organisation that is committed to providing service and looking after the interest of its members.
The AA is an organisation which continually invests in providing a modern quality service to its' members. Personal members are entitled to various services and benefits and these are explained in this Website. Primarily, as an AA Personal member you are provided with rescue assistance at the roadside or at your home address.
The AA plays an important role in international motoring through close affiliation with the world’s motoring clubs. The AA was a founder member of Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT), whose member clubs represent more than 128 million members worldwide. The AA is also a shareholder in Arc Transistance which provides emergency roadside assistance throughout Europe.
AA Public Policy
AA members want to continue to use their cars but are genuinely concerned about the impact their motoring has on the environment; they also have concerns about road safety and car crime. The cost of motoring, too, is an enduring problem.
The AA’s public affairs team tracks these and other concerns before developing and promoting policies that reflect members’ needs.
Road Safety & The Environment
The AA believes that success will result only if it continues to adhere to standards that you, its members, can trust. For AA staff these standards are embodied in integrity, quality, efficiency and good value - delivered in a spirit of service, innovation and teamwork.
