The Automobile Association launches its new podcast titled ‘The AA Ireland Podcast’, which focuses on road safety, transport, motoring, home and travel. It will be hosted by Anna Cullen and Paddy Comyn.
The AA Ireland Podcast launches with four episodes, then episodes will be released twice a month. It will offer insight and longer-form interviews with experts from the world of transport, motoring, travel and other related issues.
Episode 1 features motoring journalist Dave Humphreys on electric vehicles. He joins Paddy Comyn to talk through all of the queries and questions that people might have before choosing this emerging technology.
Episode 2 examines the increasing cost of fuel at the pumps. Anna Cullen interviews the Chief Executive Officer of Fuels for Ireland Kevin McPartlan and she also gains insight into how Hungary has capped the price of fuel.
Episode 3 looks at the effect electric scooters are having on vulnerable road users. Lorna Fitzpatrick from the National Council for the Blind in Ireland joins Anna Cullen, and they discuss the legislative changes that might be required to make this new mode of transport safer for everyone.

“We often commentate on transport matters in The AA, so it felt like a natural step for us to take our conversations to a longer format, with insight from some of the best guests across a variety of topics, with a heavy slant on motoring and transport,” says Paddy Comyn, AA Ireland Head of Communications.
“We hope to give a further voice to a variety of people across the spectrum about matters affecting road use and travel in Ireland,” says The AA Ireland Podcast host Anna Cullen.
