We are conducting a major survey of the opinions of Irish motorists on current issues. Our questionnaire is in the same format as before – it is simple to click through and we hope that it is quick and easy but at the same time all the questions have comment boxes and we very much welcome detailed points and feedback.
The eagle-eyed amongst you who have taken part in previous polls will spot that there are a couple of questions that are exactly the same as ones we asked last year – specifically on penalty points and on breathalysers. This is important because we want to track how these have changed in the last 12 months. The responses are extremely helpful to us when we represent the views of motorists to government, Gardai, the NRA and others.
We are grateful to everyone for taking the time to take part. We are offering a little prize once again and as usual if you have any suggestions or ideas for us please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.Everyone who takes part in the poll will be entered into a draw to win free AA Christmas Gift Membership which comes in a beautiful presentation box.

As well as the normal poll we are asking a few more questions by way of a shorter poll after the main one. This is more commercial in nature so we are asking you to fill it out for us as a favour if you have time. You will have the option to continue to those extra questions at the end of the main poll. For those that do, we have nudged our commercial colleagues for a prize and we will enter you into a draw to win €500 in cash… just in time for Christmas!
As I say each time, we get a fantastic amount of feedback and information from motorists via our email address email@example.com. Do please keep them coming. Regular correspondents will know that we read every single one and we do our best to answer them all individually but bear with us as it can take some time to respond to them all. We don’t send automatic email replies (I don’t like them to be honest).
You can also find the results of the last poll published here.
