The weather outside is frightful but the fodder is so delightful at the Food and Wine Magazine Christmas Show of course! The event is taking place at the RDS this weekend and will run from 4pm to 9pm on Friday, from 10am until 7pm on Saturday and from 10am until 6pm on Sunday. As with all events at the RDS, delays can be expected through Ballsbridge; on Anglesea Rd, Simmonscourt Rd, Shelbourne Rd and Pembroke Rd. However, the heaviest traffic is likely on Merrion Rd.

The finale of the Autumn International Rugby Series will see Ireland take on current World Champions New Zealand at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday. Stiles open at 12:30pm for the kick-off at 2pm and delays are expected as the usual match day restrictions will be in place in the vicinity of the stadium from 9:30am. Patrons are advised to avail of public transport where possible and keep in mind Irish Rail will be operating additional services as a result.

Finally it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Dublin at the moment and it’s about to brighten up even more on Sunday as the Christmas Tree Lightening ceremony takes place on O’Connell St from 2pm. Closures will be in place on O’Connell St as a result from 2pm until 8pm and a traffic management plan will be in operation.
