Cannonball Ireland takes place this weekend and will see a convoy of 160 supercars depart from Mondello, Co. Kildare at 9am on Friday and make the journey to Cork City via Abbeyleix. On Saturday and Sunday, the convoy will make it’s way around counties Limerick, Kerry and Laois before finishing up in Tullamore in Co. Offaly at 8pm. Delays are expected.
Calling all blues and honky-tonk fans to Dunmore East to the International Bluegrass Festival taking place in Co. Waterford until Sunday 25th August. Over 20,000 people are expected to travel to the sunny southeast for what promises to be a gathering of music lovers both young and old. Events will take place at a number of locations across the town. Delays are likely around Dunmore East and on all approach routes. A shuttle bus service will operate from Dunmore East to Waterford City until midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Cannonball Returns - AA Roadwatch Events
The 187th Iverk Show takes place in Piltown, Co. Kilkenny on Saturday 24th August from 8:30am until 7:30pm. Up to 25,000 people are expected to attend. Delays are likely from 7am onwards on the N24 Limerick/Waterford Rd and on the Castletown Rd (R698) as traffic restrictions will be in place in the vicinity of the showgrounds.
Then on Sunday all eyes will be on Croke Park as 4 teams get their chance to book their places in the final in September. Mayo will take on Monaghan in the minor clash at 1:30pm and then at 3:30pm it’s the seniors turn as Mayo take on Tyrone. Stiles open at 12:30pm and traffic restrictions will be in place in the vicinity of the stadium from 11:30am. Delays can be expected in Drumcondra and in the surrounding area.
