Clare and Cork battle it out in the replay of the Senior Hurling Championship Final at Croke Park this Saturday. Throw in is at 5pm and the usual match day restrictions will be in place around the stadium. Delays are likely throughout Drumcondra and also on the M8 from Cork and on the M7 from Clare as fans make the trip back up to the capital for what promises to be an exciting fixture.
The sporting action doesn’t end there as we head back to Croke Park on Sunday for the 40th Junior, Intermediate and Senior Ladies Football Finals. Stiles open at 11:30am and the junior final between Offaly and Wexford gets underway at midday. The intermediate final will see Cavan take on Tipperary at 2pm. But all eyes will be on the senior fixture at 4pm as Cork face Monaghan and with an expected attendance of 20,000 people delays are likely as a result.
Then it’s setting up to be a busy weekend at the RDS as the Moscow State Circus makes a triumphant return to Irish Shores with performances each day until Sunday.
Don’t forget as well Pro 12 action continues at the RDS Arena as Leinster take on Cardiff Blues on Friday and kick off is at 7:35pm.
And if a move abroad beckons then why not stop off first at the RDS for the Working Abroad Expo. Doors open at 2pm on Friday and at 10am on Saturday and Sunday. This event usually attracts large crowds so get there early to avoid disappointment.
Now with three events on at the RDS this weekend traffic is likely to be heavy in the Ballsbridge area but particularly on the Merrion Rd.
All in all, a busy weekend ahead of us and you can keep up to date with the latest traffic news on www.aaroadwatch.ie; or follow @aaroadwatch on Twitter. Have a great weekend.
