Top Features And Benefits of Family Travel Insurance 🏝

  • Up to 2 adults.
  • Up to 5 unmarried children (step-children and foster children). Children must be under 18, or under 24 if in full-time education and still resident at home.

Reimbursement of non-refundable travel expenses — airfare and accommodations — if a journey is canceled on account of serious sickness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Up to €6,000 (dependent upon level of cover)
  • Consists of activities like jury service or more.
  • Subject to terms, ecludions, and waiting periods.

Note: Cover may be subject to exclusion for pre-existing conditions unless declared and agreed.

Coverage of overseas emergency medical care, in-hospital stays, and return transportation home if it is medically indicated.

  • Up to €10,000,000 of medical cover. (based on level of cover)
  • Emergency helpline available 24/7.
  • Coverage of emergency dental and hospital bills

Note: Cover is subject to conditions of the policy. It may be necessary to claim on any private health insurance prior to this policy taking effect.

In the event of lost, stolen or delayed baggage, this plan will compensate for the cost of necessary items and personal possessions.

Important Information: Family Holiday Insurance

  • Family cover is available for:

    • Up to 2 adults (partners/spouses)

    • Up to 5 dependent children (biological, step or foster)

  • Children must be:

    • Under 18, or under 24 if in full-time education

    • Permanently residing in Ireland, and travelling with one of the insured adults

  • Adults on an Annual Multi-Trip policy may travel independently. Children must always travel with one of the named adults.

  • You must declare all pre-existing medical conditions for each person on the policy.
  • These will be assessed, and we’ll confirm in writing if cover applies.
  • If a condition is not accepted, related claims may be excluded.

  • Any claims linked to undeclared or unaccepted medical conditions will not be paid.
  • This applies to all insured travellers, including children.

Yes. Adults on a family policy can travel on their own. However, children need to travel with at least one insured adult.

Yes – COVID‑19 is covered in certain situations, such as:

  • Needing to cancel due to a positive test result

  • Emergency medical treatment abroad

  • Extended stay costs if you’re required to isolate

They can be covered, but must be declared during the medical screening process.
Cover is subject to assessment and acceptance, and may involve an additional premium.

Most leisure and non-competitive activities are covered as standard — such as cycling, swimming, and guided hiking.
Activities like skiing or scuba diving may require optional upgrades.

Yes, this cover normally include people until 79 years of age. Backpacker plans are limited to 45 years of age.
