It’s the most wonderful time of the year and as we all look forward to the magic of Christmas there is plenty on offer for every member of the family this festive season.
The Limerick Christmas Racing Festival takes place at Limerick Racecourse from Thursday 26th until Sunday 29th December. Expect extra traffic in the area before and after the races; particularly on St. Stephen’s Day and Friday for Ladies Day.
Keep in mind, the Leopardstown Christmas Racing Festival takes place at Leopardstown Racecourse from Thursday 26th until Sunday 29th December. Gates open each day at 10:15am and racing gets underway at 12:15pm. Large crowds are expected on St. Stephen’s Day and on Friday for Ladies Day. Delays are expected before and after the races.
Welcome in 2014 in style as NYE Dublin returns to the city on New Year’s Eve. The main events include a People’s Procession of Lights at 6:30pm, a fireworks display at St. Stephen’s Green at 8pm and a concert at College Green from 8:30pm until 1am. Road closures will be in place from midday on Tuesday and delays are expected.
The AA Roadwatch team will be in the office throughout the Christmas period so don’t forget to keep up to date with the latest traffic and travel news on www.aaroadwatch.ie or have your passenger monitor @aaroadwatch on Twitter.
