Christmas Shopping Guide to Dundrum Town Centre

Dundrum Town Centre is situated in Dundrum on Sandyford Rd. Opening hours are 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday, from 9am to 7pm on Saturdays and from 10am to 7pm every Sunday.

Getting There

By Car

You’ll exit the M50 at J13 Sandyford/ Ballinteer (Dundrum will be signposted). You’ll then continue onto Ballinteer Rd/ Wyckham Way and after the third roundabout on Ballinteer Rd, take the second exit towards the Town Centre.

Car Parking

Parking can be accessed from either Ballinteer Rd, Sandyford Rd and the Dundrum Bypass. There are three main car parks – The Red Car Park, Green Car Park and the Tesco Open Air Car Park. All three car parks cost €2 for the first hour, and the 2nd and 3rd hours are free and then it’ll cost you €2 per hour every hour after the 3rd hour until 6pm. From 6pm until 11pm, there is a €2 flat rate. There is also an overflow car park available during the Christmas trading period.

By Bus

Dundrum Town Centre is served by several Dublin Bus routes:

  • 14 – Serves Beaumont/ Fairview/ City Centre/ Rathmines/ Ballinteer
  • 44 – Serves DCU/ Larkhill/ Drumcondra/ City Centre/ Enniskerry/ Stepaside
  • 44b – Serves Sandyford/ Glencullen
  • 75 – Serves Tallaght/ Firhouse/ Nutgrove/ Stillorgan/ Dun Laoighre
  • 116 – Serves City Centre, Stillorgan, Sandyford and Whitechurch

By Rail

Dundrum Town Centre is served by the LUAS Green Line service which travels between St. Stephen’s Green in the city centre and Brides Glen/ Sandyford. Both the Dundrum and Balally stops are less than a ten minute walk from the centre.

Busiest routes

There are likely to be some delays on the M50 at J13, particularly exiting the motorway southbound at J13 Ballinteer onto the Ballinteer Rd and through to Dundrum Town Centre on Wykham Way. It can also be very busy heading towards the centre on the Sandyford Rd.
