Kick off is at 6:45pm and a Garda cordon will be in place from about 3:30pm around the stadium. Then it’s off to the Phoenix Park on Sunday morning for the third annual Go Ahead! Walk for Life charity event in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation which gets underway at 10:30am from Chesterfield Ave and promises to be an event full of fun for all the family! Traffic restrictions will be in place in the park between 8:30am and 1pm and delays are likely as a result. Now if you are planning a trip west this weekend then keep in mind the Ballinasloe October Horse Fair and Festival continues until Sunday. Highlights include a fireworks display on Friday and the fair days on Saturday and Sunday. Traffic is likely to be heavy on all approaches to Ballinasloe throughout the festival and those not attending the fair are advised to use the M6 as an alternative route but keep in mind it’s a tolled road. Then just when you thought the excitement was over it’s off to The O2 as Jay Z brings his Magna Carter World Tour to Dublin on Sunday. Doors open at 6:30pm and delays are likely on North Wall Quay, on East Wall Rd and over the East Link. All in all a busy weekend ahead of us and you can keep up to date with the latest traffic news on aaroadwatch.ie or follow @aaroadwatch on twitter.
