If you are in financial difficulties, it is important not to ignore the problem. Speak to any providers that you owe money to; they should have processes in place to help you.

If you pay for your policy using direct debit, then your payment plan will reoccur in future years, unless we advise you otherwise. This means you don’t have to do anything to stay covered. Your insurance policy will continue into a new year of insurance, from your renewal date, for similar cover as your previous policy, and unless we advise you otherwise you won’t need to pay a deposit.

You have the right to opt-out of an automatic renewal at any time and free of charge. Please note that you will need to advise us that you wish to opt-out of the automatic renewal at least 10 days before your renewal date to let us know

Statutory Cancellation Rights

You may cancel this policy within 14 days of receipt of the policy documents (new business) or for annual multi trip policies the renewal date (the cancellation period) by calling us on 0818 227 228 or by writing to us at the address shown on your travel insurance certificate during the cancellation period. Any premium already paid will be refunded to you providing you have not travelled and no claim has been made or is intended to be made and no incident likely to give rise to a claim has occurred. Any cancellations after this 14 day period will not be refunded.


Cancellation Outside The Statutory Period

You may cancel this policy at any time after the cancellation period by writing to us at the address shown on your travel insurance certificate. If you cancel after the cancellation period no premium refund will be made.

We reserve the right to cancel the policy by providing 21 days notice by registered post to your last known address. No refund of premium will be made. Non payment of premiums We reserve the right to cancel this policy immediately in the event of non payment of the premium

If you provided an email address, you will get your documents by email within an hour of setting up the policy. If you do not, prior to contacting us, check your email security settings to ensure mail from AA Ireland is in your safe senders list. These documents are password protected using your date of birth in the format DDMMYYY.

If you choose to get your documents by hard copy (post) it can take up to 5 working days to receive.

If you don't see your policy in myAA, then it is most likely the case that the email address you used to register for myAA is a different email address that we have in our database for identifying your policies.
In order to see your myAA polices, you will need to Register for myAA again using the correct email address. Simply go to and follow the steps on screen to do this.
