The Talbot Hotel Stillorgan has won a major tourism award in recognition of the quality and hospitality of its staff. The AA Courtesy & Care Award 2017 was presented by Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Patrick O’Donovan at a prestigious ceremony in Dublin on Thursday evening (6th April).
A member of The AA’s Hotel Inspectorate commented: “Whether you are a resident guest or just popping in for a quick bite in one of the restaurants, you are assured of a cheery greeting and great engagement from the dedicated team at The Talbot Stillorgan. Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to customer care.”
On awarding the top honour, The AA’s Director of Consumer Affairs Conor Faughnan, said: “Attentive and good-natured service delivery are some of the main criteria for the AA Courtesy & Care award. The team at The Talbot Hotel Stillorgan fit the bill in this regard and are great ambassadors for the industry as a whole, which is why we are delighted to be presenting them with this award.”

The AA’s top award of AA Hotel of the Year 2017 went to Ashford Castle, Cong, Co. Mayo.
The AA uses highly trained and experienced inspectors to personally visit every AA accredited hotel, guesthouse and Bed & Breakfast establishments. The assessments of the standards of hospitality, service, cuisine, facilities and staff are the most exacting in the industry. Winners are selected in recognition of excellence in service and hospitality, as well as a clear demonstration of continuous improvement in the preceding 12-18 months.
